Throwing it back to this kitchen project today because it's such a good example of how thoughtful space planning can completely change how a kitchen feels.

Long spaces can be tricky, so instead of treating this kitchen like one long run, we created separate zones to give it more purpose and personality.

In this kitchen, we carved out a dedicated coffee/bar area complete with a wine fridge. Fun blue cabinetry and an architectural tile splash help set the space apart, while a tall larder cabinet sitting on the countertop creates a natural division from the rest of the kitchen. Honestly, one of my favorite things about larders is how versatile they are.

The result is a space that feels more intentional, more functional, and honestly just a lot more interesting! And if you love a good before and after as much as I do, swipe to the end to see what this space looked like before it became part of the kitchen.

was all about blending timeless traditional design with functionality that truly supports everyday family life, created in collaboration with the talented Anne Canale Designs. We brought together a cohesive multi-room renovation and addition that helps this young family move through their day with ease while still honoring the classic charm and character of their neighborhood.

A standout feature is the creamy inset kitchen cabinetry paired with unlacquered brass accents and rich wood tones, creating a layered warmth that feels both refined and welcoming.

Knowing that these thoughtfully designed spaces now support everything from busy mornings to relaxed weekends is exactly why we do what we do. 🤍

Feeling lucky 🍀 or just loving a good pop of green? This moody green tile brings depth and richness to this bar moment.

Paired with warm wood shelving, brass accents, and smoky charcoal blue-gray cabinetry, the result feels layered, inviting, and timeless.

Taking a closer look at this kitchen detail because details matter. If this cabinet had standard doors, access and visibility would have been limited. The answer? Bifold doors, which completely fold out of the way, making everything easy to see and reach. With a full-height slab backsplash, clearances had to be carefully planned so the doors could open properly all while maintaining the balanced look of the feature wall. Details like this are why working with a certified kitchen designer truly matters.

I'm not much of a resolutions person, but I am a goal setter. Some years I'm more motivated than others and this year, I'm firmly in the "let's do this" season for home projects.

When it comes to my own home, there have been projects we've talked about for years. We put them off wondering how much to invest if this wasn't our forever home. But knowing we'll be here for several more years, I realized something important: I really want to enjoy our home now. Each time we've done a project, we've been so glad we did. It made us love our home more and made it easier to stay a little longer.

If you're in a similar mindset this year, you're not alone. And I can help! I love reimagining spaces so they work better for everyday life, especially the rooms you use the most... kitchens and bathrooms.

Because loving your home shouldn't wait for "someday". 🤍 If you've been thinking maybe this is the year for your home project, head to my website and let's get started.

Less than one week until Christmas… How’s everyone doing? 🌲 If this season feels full (in every sense of the word), you’re not alone. Between a sick kid at home all week and the usual end-of-year to do lists, life feels extra busy right now. I’m incredibly grateful everyone else in my house has stayed healthy and my holiday shopping is already checked off the list. Wrapping is another story. 🫠 Lately, it’s the small moments that feel like the biggest gift. Like a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. A little pause that helps bring me back to the real meaning and joy of the season. Here’s your reminder to find one small moment today - whatever that looks like for you. ❤️💚

There is something about the color green that instantly connects us to nature - while still feeling fresh and unexpected.

It is especially striking on cabinetry, like this fun laundry room project we collaborated on with designer

If you are on team green too, leave a 💚 emoji in the comments!

This is your reminder that the best gatherings happen right here. 🧡🤍

Seasonal touches may come and go, but thoughtful design lasts well beyond the holidays.

Wishing you a season filled with connection, good food, and spaces that feel effortless - working beautifully behind the scenes. This time of year always reminds me how grateful I am for the families who trust me to help shape the heart of their home, and for the designers who bring me in as part of their team to make this happen for their clients.
