Arhaus Redesign - My sister asked me to refinish her existing Arhaus table & chairs. She wanted a more rustic design instead of the original dark wood she had lived with for years. The inspiration for the table came from the look of the new “Arhaus Francis Dining Table.” After completely stripping and sanding off the old finish, I gave the table a neutral paint wash and added layers of Van D**e Brown and Kona glazes to accentuate all the unique character and distinctions in the wood. It was finished just in time for Christmas!

Depression Era Cabinet - This piece was in very good condition for its age. I painted the cabinet in Fusion Mineral Paint “Eucalyptus” - a beautiful, soft grey-sage green. Love the Natural Splendor decor transfer by Redesign with Prima - the neutral color flowers are the perfect compliment. A raised stencil was added to the drawer, and the entire piece was lightly distressed to highlight some of her detail. (This gal is not afraid to show her age!)

Grandfather’s Handmade Hutch - A client wanted her hutch transformed to coordinate with her existing dining room furniture. This piece was painted with Fusion “Champlain” and a combination of grey and brown stain colors were used for the top and shelves. Thank you, Jean, for entrusting me with this very special heirloom.

Goodwill Vintage Secretary - My mom found this piece for me at our local Goodwill. With every furniture piece I acquire, she always asks the same question….”You’re not going to paint that, are you?” My answer is always the same….”Yes, I am!” This Vintage Secretary is painted in Fusion “Coal.” I stripped the cabinet and drawer front to bare wood and kept it “rustic.” The inside of the cabinet is a whimsical decoupage paper, and since it’s a desk….a “French Letter” was stenciled on the front. (My French is a little rusty so I’m not entirely sure what it says?)

Auction Donation - This “French Inspired” piece was designed for the 60th Anniversary of The Sisters of Notre Dame Annual Chicken BBQ and Boutique. The Vintage Side Table was painted in Fusion “Ash” with a Prima “White Fleur” transfer with natural wood elements, stenciled drawers, and gold accents. Along with the furniture piece, the basket is filled with French themed home decor items. This annual fall event takes place on Sunday, September 25th at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Campus, Chardon, OH from Noon-5pm. This campus is very “near and dear to our heart” and all proceeds support the ongoing missions of the Sisters of Notre Dame.🙏🏻

Airbnb Antique Dressers - These two Antique dressers were custom painted for my sister-in-law’s new Airbnb property located in Minerva, OH. I love the combination of the natural wood and paint! The white dresser was painted in “Alabaster” and lightly distressed (Love those carved wooden handles!!) The black dresser was painted in “Lamp Black” and rubbed with a brown antique wax to give it a rich, deep, sophisticated look. New hardware makes the transformation complete!

Found Treasure - I have been on the hunt for one of these for a long time! Finally acquired an Antique Side by Side Secretary. This piece combines a bookcase/curio with a small writing desk. She’s in a little rough shape, and I can’t wait to transform her into something beautiful…..Stay tuned!

Go Bold or Go Home? These highback Vintage Chairs were upholstered in a very bold pattern. The solid wood bases were painted in a Linen white and distressed to tone them down. They now have a “shabby chic” or “cottage core” vibe. These are now beautiful accent chairs for the ends of a dining room table or they could be paired with a small table to “brighten” any corner of your home. Available on Facebook Marketplace soon.

A Tale of Two Mirrors - I recently painted 2 different mirrors for my sister’s home. They were heavy, very ornate….and VERY GOLD! Not my sister’s style - but they had beautiful potential!
The black mirror is painted in a flat black, rubbed with an antique wax, and lightly distressed.
The white mirror is painted in a white satin, and I dry brushed all those gorgeous details with Fusion paint in “Ash”. I’m not sure which one I like better?
