Gorgeous
The Annie Sloan new Painter in Residence is The Rocky Crystal - Interiors, and this is his first piece; the French Armoire!
Isn't it stunning!
Want to know how to do it? See below :)
🎨 Colours Used: Chalk Paint in Oxford Navy, Provence, Old White, Athenian Black, Paris Grey, and a touch of Gold Leaf, sealed with Clear and Black Chalk Paint Wax Wax.
👇 Step by Step Transformation:
1️⃣ Step 1: The transformation began with a rich and dramatic base coat of Oxford Navy.
2️⃣ Step 2: Delicate panels were painted in Old White, adding contrast.
3️⃣ Step 3: The armoire's carcass was lavishly coated in Provence.
4️⃣ Step 4: Paris Grey was artfully applied with a palette knife, creating a distressed look and adding fascinating texture.
5️⃣ Step 5: To achieve depth and character, a moody black wash was added.
6️⃣ Step 6: Gold Leaf was carefully applied to the trims, bringing a touch of opulence to this rustic chateau-inspired masterpiece.
7️⃣ Step 7: To protect and enhance the finish, a combination of Clear and Black Chalk Paint Wax was applied, adding that final touch of refinement.
The result is a French Armoire that radiates timeless elegance with a rustic twist. The combination of colours, techniques, and Nick's eye for a rustic texture give the whole thing a beautifully charismatic look. We hope you adore it as much as we do!
