As expected, yesterday’s stick broke…
So I started two more today! 🤓

A few hours of work later and I have two bows roughed out and bent.

A good work day was had ☺️

Today, after removing the boss from my personal workspace, I did more camber work on a new bow! ☺️

This stick has a rough spot behind the head that could have broken at any point in this process today, and yet…it didn’t…though I fully expected it to…

I will have to do more work on it tomorrow…😬…

Some things I have been up to while not posting 😬…

I made this faceplate/tip-plate out of boxwood!

Then I put a curve into it by gently bending the faceplate over the heated file until it matched the curve on the head of the stick. 🤓

Season 2, Episode 92

Guess what?! I’m still here! 😜

After a serious injury back in the spring that took me out, I had to make a choice: Push through or step back and get better. I chose the latter.

Many months later, I am slowly working my way back into making.

So for today, I am outside in lovely weather while tweaking camber on a violin bow.

Who says our work can’t travel? 😉

As for finishing these 100 Days…It might take me a couple of weeks, but I am determined to finish what I started.
