Pray for Canadian, Texas, and those who couldn't leave town in time. All exits out of town are blocked by fire. (This doesn't necessarily mean the town is on fire - resolution needs to be higher for that - but it sure isn't good.)

UPDATE: The fire has now burned 200,000 acres and achieved mega-fire status.

UPDATE: Reports of fire now impacting neighborhoods near Fritch.

Hey friends, Trent and I would like to let everyone know that we will not be doing workshops anymore. We are sad and we are sorry, but it’s what has to be done. We have a ton of cancellations and we just can’t make a living that way. We are not closing the studio at this time. We will still be doing custom orders, laser-engraving, our Poppy Box subscription, etc.

Thank you all for understanding and for being so good to us thru the years! ❤️

Our Story

Trent and Jodi are a fun couple from Gainesville, Texas who currently make their home in the little town of Callisburg, Texas. Although Trent has been woodworking for many years, they became a “dream-team” in 2014 when they began making items together and really complementing each other’s work! DIY projects slowly turned into hopes and dreams for a future business when they began making things for friends and family, and teaching others what they loved to do! The Wooden Poppy Design Co. was born in 2017. They offer DIY workshops and private parties perfect for ladies nights, birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, office parties, and more! They design and make custom wood signs, furniture, and home decor. You can also purchase and enjoy canned salsa, pickles, and veggies fresh from their garden and made by Trent in their own kitchen! While they work from home at this time, a storefront is currently in the works!
