It has been a crazy busy weekend but I made time to get this beauty finished. I think it turned out beautiful.

This is made from polyclay. Every butterfly, flower and leaf are individual slices of clay.

The hardware is Rhodium. Rhodium is a rare precious metal belonging to the platinum group. It is getting extremely hard to find pen parts plated in Rhodium and getting very expensive.

This pen comes with a Beaufort Ink cartridge that can be found at most office supply stores or on line. You can also use most standard rollerball refills such as Schmidt or Schneider.

This pen will be perfect for that special someone or in any collection. Or maybe you just want to splurge on yourself. No doubt it will not last long.

In my spare time and when I am not busy making pens, peppermills, charcuterie boards etc, my wife likes to make sure I do not get bored and gives me special projects to do. This is one of her projects where she wanted me to finish the inside of her farmers market. So I insulated the walls and completed the inside including the ceiling with tongue and groove white pine. I trimmed it out and added shelving. I will be making a few more shorter shelves to go on the side wall this weekend.

Of course it is air conditioned and has a refrigerator for her chicken and duck eggs.

She will be finishing up the decorations and stocking it with her homemade sourdough bread, goat milk fudge and jams etc this weekend. When harvest season arrives she will have fruits and vegetables to pick from. It is all on the honor system and open 7 days a week.

This is likely the only one of this material I will make. Prepping this blank was completed by pure determination because the smell was terrible lol. I thought deer antler was bad but there is no comparison to water buffalo horn.

Here is another Woolly Mammoth Tooth rollerball pen I made. The fusion of natural colors fossilized over 10,000 years is amazing. These are very difficult and time consuming to make and no two are ever exactly alike. So far I have been lucky with two attempts and two successes.

The hardware is Rhodium plated which is a ultra rare precious metal. Rhodium is crazy expensive with prices over 10K per ounce today. It is to the point that it is not practical to offer pens with Rhodium plating anymore. So the few that I have in stock and coming avaliable will likely be the last.

This pen has a Schmidt 5888F ink refill for very smooth writing.

This will come with a leather case for storage while not in use.
