In February of this year, I had the distinct honor to make one of my favorite things, an altar (or prayer bench if you'd prefer), as a gift. This was to celebrate my parents as their ministry transitioned from one role to another in the church they had planted, 15 years ago.

A beautiful live edge adorns the front and a peak-a-boo cut out of the Church's logo on either leg gives it that uniquely personal look. It was my privilege to collaborate with Hope Family and gift this to them at the Honoring/Installation service. This has quickly become one of my favorites due to the unique, live-edge bench seat, incredible woodgrain focal points, custom logo cutouts and - as always - that beautiful Rubio Monocoat finish. The bench seat is made from White Oak and the legs are made with a stunning walnut.

This custom built in bookcase and seating/storage was the project of the month!

Made from Ash and finished with Rubio Monocoat (“Pure” for inside the lower cabinets, “Nordic White” for the outter pieces and “Midnight Indigo” for the shelves and bench top.) & a “Sheen Plus” finish. The bench top also has an N3 Top Coat finish from Rubio.
