I mentioned before that I was going to start on a Hay Wagon. Well it's done (for the most part). I didn't take a picture of the two trees growing through the wagon bed but you can see the gaipping holes in the beginning process pictures. The weather slowed me down to just the late morning and afternoon time, it was starting to cut in to cocktail hour lol.
It was fun playing with a big set of Lincoln logs for a change. It's a first for me. I like doing projects that change.

The stand is some poplar that I milled. The bamboo has a rope along it's side just because. It was fun.

I got bored and decided that the globe looked a little cheap. It was just a skinny spindle. So I glued together some cedar and some pine. And turned them on my lathe. I think it looks better than it did before.

I took the decking off the hay wagon. Aired up the tires and broke the tung free from the frozen earth. Two of those 4x6 are still useable.

So I'm going to replace the spindle for the globe with this one that I glued together and rounded up on the table saw. Next is my lathe. When I get board I start worrying my wife on what I'm going to do with our stuff.
"Oh please hunny go fishing or golfing " she's thinking. lol

This end table was made by the clients grandfather. He believes that it's at least 100 years old. When restoring this piece I had to strengthen it dew to it getting a little wobbly over it's life time. In that process I replaced some of the square nails with screws. In the picture with the drawer open you can see that I drilled some small holes inside the drawer to keep those square nails for a nostalgic purpose. I also added some nylon feet pads to protect the floor from scratching.

Next is a little end table that the clients grandfather made. He thinks it's about 100 years old and I think he might be right. The pocket screw holes are huge not like we can do it today where their just big enough for the screw. And it has square nails so I think he might be right on the 100 years.
And I'm also starting a project to refurbish a hay wagon 8x16. I just cut the tree's out that had grown through the floor of the wagon.

Just finished a corner shelf for my wife. My camera stinks. It's walleyeing my photos.
