UPDATED: We heard you...and we're taking action💙

Many of you told us Friday alone didn’t work—so we’re opening ONE LAST TIME… but now for TWO DAYS:

🗓 Friday, March 20 | 10 AM – 4 PM
🗓 Saturday, March 21 | 10 AM – 2 PM
🎉 EVERYTHING IS FREE

We officially closed on March 14, but there’s still more to give—and we want it all to go to a good home.

Calling all charities, contractors, families, shoppers, and friends—come take what you can use. Furniture, fixtures, materials… whatever’s left is yours (unless something is tagged as taken).

Let’s clear the floors together and keep everything out of the landfill ♻️

ONE LAST TIME, FREEHOLD 💙

We officially closed on March 14—but we didn’t quite clear the floors.

So we’re opening up ONE FINAL DAY:

🗓 Friday, March 20
⏰ 10 AM – 4 PM ONLY
🎉 EVERYTHING IS FREE

We’re inviting everyone—local charities, contractors, families, and our amazing community—to come take what you can use and give these items a good home.

Furniture, fixtures, materials… whatever’s left, it’s yours (except for items already tagged as "sold"). Bring a vehicle and helping hands. Everything must go on Friday, 3/20.

Let’s finish this together and make sure nothing goes to waste ♻️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Family Services Manager, Marianne Herring. 🤍

For 23 years, Marianne was a devoted member of the Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity team. Marianne formed special connections not only with her colleagues but also with the families she supported through her work. She led with compassion, kindness, and a genuine care for others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Marianne was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of working with her, and her loss is a tremendous shock to our entire Habitat family and community.

Marianne’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.

We extend our deepest condolences to Marianne’s family during this difficult time.

A gathering of friends will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home in Freehold Township on Thursday, March 19 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00–8:30 PM, with a service beginning at 8:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marianne’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the SPCA of Monmouth County

As the Freehold ReStore prepares to close its doors, we want to spotlight some of the wonderful volunteers who have made this store such a special place over the past decade.

Gigi Czarnowski has lived in Freehold for over thirty years and became involved with Habitat for Humanity when her son volunteered in the ReStore. This was when it was just a small store in Freehold on Throckmorton Street. She adds, "During that time, I was volunteering in St. Peter’s Thrift Shop, which was next door to the Habitat location. Eight years ago, I decided to volunteer at the Freehold Habitat ReStore on South Street and have continued my service once a week."

Store Manager Sandy Gioioso reflected on Gigi's time at the store and said, "Gigi brought years of knowledge to the store, and everyone loves her. She is not only smart and funny, but bilingual and always eager to help customers find what they were looking for."

Gigi’s favorite aspect of volunteering was the camaraderie between the volunteers and staff under Sandy’s direction. "I also loved being able to use my Spanish to help the local Hispanic population find necessities for their homes," she says.

Gigi's kindhearted spirit embodies what Habitat has always stood for. Thank you, Gigi!🙏🩷

Today, March 14, is the final day the Freehold ReStore will be open to the public.

With grateful (and tearful) hearts, we want to thank our incredible community for years of support. Because of you - our shoppers, donors, and volunteers - the Freehold ReStore helped build homes, strengthen neighborhoods, and create hope through Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity.

There are still some treasures left on the floor, and everything is 75% OFF the sticker price.

Visitors to the Freehold store today will also receive a 15% OFF coupon for their entire purchase at the Asbury Park ReStore.
