On TUESDAY, MAY 19 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE PARISH LIFE CENTER MAIN HALL, the St. Mary Council of Catholic Women will welcome PARISHIONER ANDREW T. BODOH as guest speaker. Andrew is the author of LOVE FIERECELY: LESSONS FROM THE DAD OF A SPECIAL NEEDS DAUGHTER, a book acclaimed for its prayerful insight into the spirituality of a CATHOLIC CAREGIVER.

“By embracing his family’s vulnerability, Andrew shows the joy of suffering for another, and the painful courage inherent in love.” THERE ARE LESSONS HERE FOR EVERYONE WHO PROVIDES INTIMATE CARE FOR A LOVED ONE OF ANY AGE OR DISABILITY.

An autographed copy of Love Fiercely will be raffled, and we hope Andrew will have other copies for sale. We will also have our usual 50/50 $$ drawing, refreshments, and a business meeting at which we will elect officers for the coming activity year. Please make time to join us! Everyone is welcome.

Join us at 10 AM Tuesday April 21 in the main hall of the Parish Life Center, when "The Voices"--a choral group back at St. Mary CCW by popular demand--will sing us into spring! We'll have refreshments, a 50/50 $$ drawing, and a brief business meeting at which we will vote on the charitable contributions for this year. Come one, come all!

We will be collecting gifts for moms and babies to benefit local pro-life organizations next weekend, April 18 and 19, before and after all Masses at St. Mary Church and Holy Cross Academy. See page 10 of the church bulletin for all the details!

Last Tuesday, Mistress Susan Barnes, L, Mistress Margaret Matarese, R, and an unnamed leech in a jar, all from Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop, entertained the St. Mary Council of Catholic Women, Fredericksburg, Virginia, telling us about women's roles in 18th century medicine. Fun and informative! At our next meeting, on St. Patrick's Day, our guest speaker will be Father Joseph Connor. (10 AM in the PLC main hall) Come join us!

On Tuesday, January 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Life Center main hall., our special guest will be Arlene Wilkinson, who will speak about the parish gardening ministry. Ever wonder who keeps the grounds beautiful, how they manage to do it all, and just how long this magic has been going on? Arlene can tell you! We will offer refreshments, have a $$ 50/50 drawing and hold a brief business meeting after her talk. Arlene is pictured here with her husband and fellow "Gardening Angel," Joe Wilkinson.
