I recently completed a fun project. The homeowner wanted something unique for his new home, a live edge mantel. I was able to source a gorgeous piece of walnut. I protected its beautiful natural woodgrain with a clear, oil based, poly finish. Enjoy the pictures.

Homeowner wanted to remodel his main bathroom. After he completed the demolition he brought me in to do the finish work. One big hitch was having to rework the water lines as they were originally tucked up in a dead space beside the old tub. with a new shower base going it I had to lay them down flat. There was just enough room under the edge of the new base. The rest of the remodel went without a hitch. The new glass door had very interesting panels staggered in height which did require a bit more work but came out quite nicely.

The business owner wanted to update his kitchenette. The first pic is the old. Cabinets were getting a bit run down. I installed new cabinets topped by a nice butcher block countertop. After cutting the opening for the sink I sealed it with 3 coats of polyurathane. I reused the original sink and installed a nice backsplash which was actually a nice peel-and-stick.

Homeowner needed the bedroom painted and an access door for the attic installed. A hole had been cut in the wall so new HVAC ducting could be installed. The installer covered it with a board. Homeowner still wanted access so I install a nice, insulated access door. The room had previously been occupied by a teenage son so the walls needed a lot of love.

The walls behind the tiles had suffered water damage over the years and had started breaking up. The window sill and casing were also suffering. So I was tasked with repairing the walls, updating the plumbing, tiling the walls and making repairs to the window. I used blue board to replace the walls and sealed it with a special sealant for this installation.
I was unsure how the large format tile would look in a small bathroom but was very pleased with the result. I installed a water resistant casing around the window as well as a faux marble sill. It was a difficult project but in the end very rewarding.
The homeowner had planned to finish up the painting herself and have the tub professionally reglazed.

I've done a lot of drywall repair but this was a new one for me. The homeowner noticed a broken spot in the ceiling thinking it was loose plaster. Turned out to be a wasp nest which was thankfully long abandoned. They had eaten through the backside of the drywall to where it was paper thin. I had to open up the area, clean out the old nest and repair the opening. I textured the ceiling and the homeowner painted it himself once it was all dry.
