Anyone else surprised today to learn its Memorial Weekend? Where is the time going? Went in to both booths today to do mini refills and snapped a couple of shots before running off to dinner.

I managed to get a mini booth reset done at OVAM before Springfield, Extravaganza started. Behold my 4th of July center display! We're expecting a lot of rain today but if you plan on still coming out to Springfield today or tomorrow please stop by the goat barn and say hello to Jill and I at .jjs.vintage.closet.

Should I already have done the 2 factor authentication, yes. But who would have thought my teeny account would ever be targeted?

Luckily the existing security measures worked and they weren't able to get in and start messing with things.

Part of why I love what I do is getting the glimpses into other people's lives. Every item or piece of furniture helps to tell the story.
In this particular case I got to connect a few dots. Lula's work on the embroidery, her husband Walter framing it for her and proudly displaying it in their home, reading Lula's obituary which led me to the trophy. Lula's obituary held another fun clue. One of her grandchildren married into the Clooney clan. Pause the video to read through her descendants.
Its always a fun time working with vintage items. Sure, its easier to go to a big box store and buy reproductions but they won't have the quality or the stories behind them that make them special. Remember, reduce and reuse come first for a reason.

Just happened across this video from T. Thompson | Home & Lifestyle taking everyone to a couple of her favorite vintage shops in Columbus, OH when I spy my toboggan shelf! I knew it had been purchased by a vintage shop in Columbus but I didn't know which one. If you're shopping at The Atomic Shop in Columbus Ohio you can see it for yourself.
One of my most favorite things to do is source and build fun store displays. If I could do that full time I absolutely would.

Booth carnage #2. It was a busy weekend and I was very fortunate to have 2 pieces of furniture sell! So, April booth reset has begun. This will be a bit of a process as I am taking advantage of the situation and resetting the Tinkers booth, as well. 🙄🙏

Happy Easter everyone! Doing a bit of a photo dump as I have just realized I didn't post photos from last weeks displays! 😲
There is still a great selection of Spring feels around the booth plus a little grandpacore. If you swipe to the end of the photos you'll see my markdown display. OVAM's anniversary sale is at the end of April and I am taking the opportunity to do final markdowns on some of the older merchandise and move it along! Enjoy your holiday and be sure to check out the markdown area all month long in boot 16!

Take a look around with us at the Johnson County Antique and Vintage show as well as our new favorite find in Franklin, IN, Salvage Sisters!
It was our first time heading to the Johnson County show. This is a monthly Vintage show at the fairgrounds. Its $4 per person to get in the door and you have 2 buildings to explore with a huge variety of vintage and antique dealers. There will be something for everyone at this show with a full concession stand to keep you fueled for your vintage hunt
Our next stop was Salvage Sisters just down the road from the fairgrounds. What a gem this shop is! Its a must see for anyone who loves vintage or primitives with a feminine, whimsical, romantic style. The displays were on point and every vendor had an amazing curated space. It was an easy drive from Cincy so if you find yourself near Franklin, IN. this is a must see!

We will definitely be making more trips to Franklin so let us know of any shops that are your must see places!

Come take a quick look at the Tinkers booth with me! It has been a looooong time since I did any filming over here so I forced myself to take a few minutes Thursday and do social media. 🫤😩
There's new artwork, pottery and lots of vintage kitchy goodness for all you quirky decorators to enjoy! Have a great weekend everyone and don't blow away!
