Congrats to Brent on a big gator last weekend. Spent all weekend looking for the right one and finally found him Sunday morning. Things got a little hairy when the gator tried to jump in the boat but at the end Brent Nelson put a good shot on him to end the hunt.

Man, what a great week down here in the South Florida swamp. Got to start it off by calling in a a trophy long beard for an old friend. And ended with teaming up with Chappy's Outfitters to introduce another group of friends to hunting in swamp with a great hog hunt.
Now hurry up work week, I have more long beards to call in next weekend!!!

A good friend of mine just called me with an opening for 1/18 - 1/20/14 for a 3 day duck and goose hunt in Kansas. The place is a blast and the guides are awesome. We hunted with them last year. Due to the fact that it's such a short notice he gave me a good price so let me know if anyone is interested. The outfitter is Central Kansas Outfitters. Check them out.

You all ready for tomorrow!!!! I feel like a kid waiting to go to disney. I like the gator and deer hunting, but what I live for is the duck hunting!! Nothing like seeing birds off in the distance and calling them into your spread with wings locked and feet down.
Trying not to move and getting into position at the same time. The feeling you get when the ducks fly off and you pull out your best call in hope it works to get them back... and it does.The drama that runs through your head as you decide if you should call the shot now or let them work in just a little closer.
These are just half the things running through your head while in the duck blind. The other half is all the stories your trying to tell your friends and family.
