I was watching a woodworking video from the 90's. It was very different from the modern YouTube woodworkers who talk about tools and gadgets in most of their videos. Watching things these days makes a person think that they can't build without all the modern gadgets and machines. I'm not talking about going back to manual hand tools (that's cool though), but building with what you have. Drills with cords, saws without tracks, tools your dad and grandpa used that you don't see on the jobsites anymore. Just get in the shop, or on the porch, and make something.

For me, it's been hard to get into the shop with the job that pays the bills getting in the way, but this year I hope to figure out the rhythm and put out some things for folks and my family.

This doesn’t have the same slope or low height if the traditional Adirondack style chairs. It sits higher and is much easier to get in and out of.

Praying for Kaitlynn and the Berry family today. Y’all helped me out by letting me work in your shop and taking me in like I was one of yours. You are the living sermon on the mount. Praise God for our paths crossing and may Kaitlynn rest in Christ. ☦️

Along with the sander pad I got a new flag patch to replace the one that fell apart. I don’t like the subdued flags. Nothing stands out like an American flag against the backdrop of the ocean, or the mountains, or the desert, or a sea of wheat fields, or on the back of a boat on the river.
