Happy Monday, friends!! I started off my morning with a visit to and hung out with Tressa for a little while in their new location at the River Ridge Mall in Lynchburg! Good news, y'all, this amazing diy store is now right across from the food court. So you can literally have lunch with friends and then do a paint class together! How cool is that?? Also, check out their vintage finds and one of a kind home decor! It's always a wonderful thing to support small and locally owned businesses!

Here's a little sneak peek at a fun piece that I'm working on for an upcoming market. I fell in love with the small drawers and decided to go with classic, black & white when creating the design. For me, the key is knowing when to stop with adding words - so for tonight, this girl's gonna take a break, and start again tomorrow. Anyone else have to do the same thing???

Yesterday, I took advantage of the brilliant sunshine (it's literally snowing right now!) by giving this sweet buffet a makeover by removing its orangey stain. --> Swipe to see the end result and let me know what you think!

My little friend, Rusty, had been hanging around inside of my garden shed, just waiting for me to decide what to do with him? I grabbed some , mixing it with white paint to add layers of texture. Later, I added the Saltwash to watered down black and brown paint and just played with it. He's not perfect, but that's exactly what I love.
So, what do you think? Do you think he looks like he is ready for his debut at our next vintage market?

Hello sunshine and warmer temps! Yes, I potted up some spring bulbs and it felt wonderful to feel that warm soil. Yes, I'll have to bring these in at night for a few weeks, but that's okay with me. Spring is inching toward us - can you feel it too?

A few days ago I took almost everything out of my shipping container and then organized it as neatly as possible. Let me say, it was quite the workout but I found myself smiling the entire time. I see so many possibilities when I look at these "projects" and so much potential for the coming months. Don't you love fresh beginnings?? [BTW, some of these items are heading to Sweet Violet's Vintage Spring Market on April 1st & 2nd! Stay tuned for more on that!]

Enjoying the peace & serenity of the day - and thinking about the special things that make this time of year magical. One of the highlights for me is when I received this hand-made Christmas card from my 86 year- old mother. She's far away and I'm really missing her right now. I gave it a little place of honor, right next to this German Shepherd bookend, 1 of a pair, gifted to me by a lovely friend. These things are sweet but the relationships they remind me of are the most beautiful things of all. Happy Tuesday Friends - are you enjoying your week so far?
