Hello everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that we wanted to let y’all know we lost our dear Pappy. After a courageous battle beating cancer this past year, our much loved Pappy succumbed to complications, passing away peacefully, surrounded by family yesterday afternoon. He was a loving father, husband, brother, friend, cousin and uncle. Not to mention he made one hell of a pit beef sandwich. It was a honor to have the opportunity to work alongside my uncle this past year. He taught me a lot and I will miss him dearly.

We appreciate everyones understanding as we have not been able to be open consistently this year as our family has a tremendous amount of health issues needing our full attention and care. As some of you already know, my mother, our Boss Mare and owner, Terri Hobson has also had her own serious health concerns this past year as well. We are very fortunate to still have her with us, recovering well, after 4 horrendous months in shock trauma receiving a double lung transplant with multiple complications.

Please pray for our family for peace at this time as we grieve our dear Pappy. Us cowgirls are hoping to be back as soon as possible to keep Pappy’s legacy alive and get the market back up and running again once able.

Howdy ya’ll! We will not be selling pit beef today. It was snowing too hard this morning when we needed to set up which was not in the weather forecast. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to be back next week with Pit Beef, weather dependent, of course.
