Giving my old Christmas village a little makeover this year! 🎄🤎

Instead of getting rid of those outdated little village houses, I decided to turn them into gingerbread houses using Fusion Mineral Paint in Algonquin and Snowdrop!

Such a quick and easy transformation, and I love how a little paint can give something old a fresh, more modern look!

Sometimes you just need to rethink what you already have! ❤️

Another little flashback! ❤️

Sometimes I forget just how many pieces of furniture we’ve refinished over the years, especially dining tables! So it’s been fun looking back at some of our earlier projects.

This pretty French Provincial table was one of the first dining tables we had for sale at AnitaTrinket when we started bringing our refinished furniture into the shop.

We painted the base in Sterling by Fusion Mineral Paint and refinished the top with White Stain & Finishing Oil. I always loved how this one turned out!

I wish I had a before picture, but back then I wasn’t nearly as good about documenting everything along the way. 😂

This piece has long since sold, and every once in a while I wonder where it ended up and what home it’s in today.

It’s fun looking back at these older projects. We’ve refinished so many pieces over the years…. How time flies when you’re having fun ❤️

A little Milk Paint tip! 🖌️

When you’re using Milk Paint by Fusion or Homestead House Paint Company milk paint , get into the habit of taking your brush to the bottom of the container and giving it a good swirl every time you dip!

Milk paint pigments naturally settle as you work, so this little step helps keep everything mixed and your color consistent.

Such a simple habit, but it makes a difference!

I love mixing old with new, and this is a perfect example!

This beautiful antique Jacobean-style table has stood the test of time. We gave it a fresh new look using Onyx from Alchemy by Fusion, and I just love how it looks paired with these modern, textured chairs!

They just don’t make furniture like this anymore. Solid, sturdy, and full of character. And pairing an antique with something modern gives it a whole different look!

I’ll admit it… I’ve never been a huge fall person. 🍂 But every once in a while, a piece comes along that completely gets me in the mood.

This old wash stand had so much character, even though it had definitely seen better days. We brought it back to life with Mustard by Fusion Mineral Paint painted the top in Chocolate, and finished it off with a little Dark Antiquing Wax to bring out all those beautiful details and give it that warm, aged look.

Something about this color combination just feels like fall. 🤎
