Well it looks as though Covid may finally be coming to an end. I've been working on a pair of Birch mirrors for a customer, and have gotten them to Mary for carving and painting. I have started making another Cedar pair to sell here or on Esty. In the picture the one is sanded and ready for routing the other is ready for sanding as you see. These will have a lot of tracks from the grubs that lived there before I started. If your interested contact me here or on Etsy if I have posted them. I will also begin making the door harps and dulcimers again.
Mary has been carving door panels, beds, table tops through out these Covid times.
I started biking of recent and Friday I only fell four times and have the scrapes and bruises to prove it. No fishing but a couple of hours a month ago with nothing to show. Birds are coming back, Oriels are singing up a storm, hummers are after their feeders, and Mama Raccoon keeps showing up but no kits yet. No sign of the bear yet but that's OK.

Merry Christmas to all, and a safe and Happy New Year. In addition to Mary's latest wall hanging I finished two Dulcimers and one sold already. Rose has started to make decorative bird houses that are quite unique. We also started to make door harps that you hang on the inside of your front door or any door you want to. They have a nice sound that you can change the sound of with a clock wrench. See you next year! Dave, Mary, and Rose

Well the octave mandolin is coming along and and the top will be installed tomorrow. Everything checks out all right, but I am waiting on some bone material for the nut, tuning machines, and the tail piece. I have to make the fret board and I will sand it up tomorrow and start to work on shaping it and installing the frets. It is going to be rose wood. Long time on this one but it has just been me. the the belly and back are hand carved to shape the bows and I carved the snake at the sound hole. It was easy all I had to do was roll it between my hands. Just kidding I carved it out of black cherry. All for now, I will play it when I am done and post it here.

This is the latest 32 string bowed Psaltery I have finished. It is black walnut with hard maple making the frame. It weigh's 2lbs 2ozs versus the 5lb for the last one I did. The green tape is for me, to help me with the notes. I will play something on You Tube and post it later. I am working on a dulcimer with a horse peg head and will get pictures of it later as it progresses.
