Well… it’s time for me to take a bow (and maybe finally sit down for a minute 😉).
After a lifetime of working—starting at the ripe old age of 14—I officially retired in December and have been wrapping up a few final projects since then. Now, I’m fully stepping away from Designing Women2 to focus on my favorite new roles: grandmother, traveler, and professional memory-maker.
This decision wasn’t easy, because the truth is—I have loved every minute of creating beautiful spaces with you. From bold choices to last-minute pivots, from “trust me on this” moments to the final reveal… what a ride it’s been.
To my incredible clients: thank you for trusting me with your homes and your vision. You made this work so meaningful.
To my amazing vendors and subcontractors: you are the magic behind the scenes. Your talent, craftsmanship, and teamwork brought it all to life—and we sure had some fun along the way.
I will miss the creativity, the collaboration, and yes… even the occasional chaos. But I’m trading it in for grandchildren, adventures, and a little more time to enjoy the beauty we all work so hard to create.
And who knows… I’ve never been very good at sitting still. I just might reinvent myself and start something new—you never know.
Thank you for being such an important part of my story. I feel incredibly lucky. 🤍
