Woodley Pool Woodley Pool is a private, member-owned swim and dive club in Falls Church, Virginia. Woodley Pool is a private, member-owned swim and dive club.

It is located on approximately four acres of land. The pool is surrounded by trees and provides a sense of seclusion and peace in our fast-paced world. Woodley features a 25-meter swimming pool, a 12-ft. diving well with 2 diving boards, lap lanes, a shallow area for beginners, a separate fenced-in baby pool with playground, and a large grassy area with picnic tables, umbrella tables, and lounge chairs.

Woodley is unfortunately closed for the day due to a power outage and mechanical issues with the pump. We are working with Atlantic Pools to perform repairs ASAP, but please keep an eye on your emails for operating status and swim/dive schedule.

Impromptu Friday social event? Let’s do it!

We are going to do our best to show the USA V Australia match at 3pm today. As you know it can be hard to see a projector in daytime but wise will do our best. Brightness up. Sound on. Maybe it will be like radio with friends. For those of you that listened to baseball games in the before smartphone era you’ll feel right at home.

Anyhow, we are giving it a whirl. Come join us. Worst case we all just watch it on our phones anyhow right?

Happy last day of school FCPS families! Beginning tomorrow the pool is open every day at 11am. Tomorrow we close at 6 for high school night. Friday is our first 11-9 day. Saturday is our first of three home swim A meets.

Summer. Is. On.

Power is on. Pool being cleaned. Time trials and regular hours should be unaffected. See you there.

Around 730 one of our majestic trees was felled by the storm. As you can see it was huge. I regret to inform you that if you really liked the green bench on the hill you need to find a new favorite.

Within an hour and a half the deck was blown clean. The tree was chopped up and in the woods. The broken bench was moved.

It was all done in the fading light by headlamps. And that is thanks to our community. Our guards led by our co-manager Erin, Albert Lum, Nicholas Rodas, Matt and Ben Pollack, Michael Woods, Augusta and Harrison Niday. A random neighbor that just saw the tree come down and came to help. Cheryl and Megan saved our concessions for tomorrow.

Will time trials happen tomorrow and will the pool open on time? I don’t know. That’s really up to dominion.

But the community came together tonight to give us the best chance to make it happen. I’m proud to be a part of this community. You should be too.

See you tomorrow (hopefully). Go warriors.
