Another God Story at Pineview is nearing completion. Our indoor pool has not been operational due to leaks for the past number of years. Despite numerous attempts to find and fix the issues, it continued to lose water. A company gave us an initial quote to fill in cracks and replaster for $30,000. Unfortunately, the company came back to us a few months later and said that the bid would need to be adjusted to $100,000.
After hearing this news we determined that we regretably would need to fill in the pool and repurpose the building.
A week later a new staff member shared the plight of the pool with a retired friend over coffee. The friend happened to be a professional plasterer who had fixed pools in the past. He asked to come see the pool. Over the summer he has patched and prepared the pool for new plaster while we replaced the 48 year old plumbing. This week, we poured the deck around the pool and next week, he plans to start the final plastering. The amazing part is that he has done all of this work on a volunteer basis. We serve an amazing God!
