FINISH CARPENTER/CARPINTERO

JOB DETAILS:
Full-time position, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

We're looking for a Shop Carpenter reporting to our shop in Escondido. The candidate is responsible for cutting and assembling finish carpentry materials in production including but not limited to door frames, bump jambs, casing, stool & apron, and miscellaneous in-house build items. May provide guidance to other shop employees. May also work on special projects as directed.

- You have demonstrated that you can safely install materials with carpentry and power tools in a noisy, sawdust-filled workspace.
- You love to integrate into a busy team of skilled carpenters and warehouse staff, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL, QUALITY, AND FOLLOW-THROUGH MATTER TO YOU.
- You have the ability to read precise specifications, measure materials accurately, and apply math skills to cut and pack finish carpentry materials.
- You are able to build frames and doors.
- Quality in the end-product is your top priority.
- You can refine your skills to more advanced pieces and display efficiency in all work products

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of carpentry experience.
- Able to efficiently use a table saw, chop saw, circular saw
- Able to perform physical carpentry tasks including cutting, building, and packing finish carpentry materials.
- Able to perform general physical tasks common to carpentry position (lifting items up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, use of hand tools, etc.)
- Proven experience working well independently and with teams.
- Dependable and punctual

JOB DETAILS: Full-time position, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accompany drivers to job sites to help unload materials for field installation.
- Assist in loading and unloading material and preparing trucks for deliveries.
- Ensure a safe operating environment during the shift by frequently sweeping floors, emptying scrap bins, and disposing of packing material as new materials arrive.
- Assist Shipping & Receiving with incoming materials. May help unload trucks and move materials to proper stock locations.
- Assist in House Packing by:
* Assembling the correct material per work orders.
* Loading into pallets.
* Marking pallets with lot information.
* Properly strapping load before loading onto the delivery truck.
- Assist in other shop and warehouse departments as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Warehouse experience helpful
- Trained to operate forklifts and can use other equipment to move heavy/large shipments helpful (or willing to learn to operate one)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Good attendance and reliable
- Able to work under pressure and adjust to change
- Possess basic math skills
- Able to work well with a team
- Demonstrate awareness of proper warehouse and shop floor safety procedures
