Lowell Moore (3rd Generation) received this award in 1963 from the Ephrata Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was 32 years old and had only been back in Ephrata for about 8 years when they awarded him "Young Man of the Year". He was very proud of this distinction and this plaque hung on the wall in his house for nearly 60 years. He won many awards throughout his career but this may have been the one he was most proud of.
