I have been a folk artist since my kids were in diapers (30+ years ago) and have painted in acrylic on antiques and items second hand or made by my woodman. ood. It, like people acquires a beauty that only the passing of years can bestow. Like others who up cycle pieces with potential,....I relish the thrill of the hunt and the fulfillment that comes from discovery to creation. Every piece has a past,....I feel blessed in being able to give them a beautiful new future!

I haven't done anything with furniture for awhile but I needed a new chair for my desk. I found this one for free on Offer Up because the finish was in terrible condition and it was smelly. But,..it is solid oak, it swivels and leans back. So after new casters, a thorough sanding and a new stain, I am very pleased with the results! 😊
