UPDATE | A HEARTFELT THANK YOU! ❤️

I’m pleased to share that the woman involved in the theft at The Cow Pelt has been identified and located, thanks in large part to the extraordinary support and assistance of our community, both near and far.

I’m also grateful to share that I have been reimbursed for the merchandise taken from my store.

I have requested that charges be pursued, but have not yet been informed how law enforcement intends to proceed.

To everyone who shared our original post, came forward with information, or simply offered a kind word, thank you. Your kindness and willingness to help have made a meaningful difference.

What began as a very disappointing experience has also been a beautiful reminder of the goodness and generosity of so many people.

Yesterday, Saturday, October 10, The Cow Pelt experienced a theft at our store in downtown Ellijay.

We are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the woman pictured in the accompanying surveillance footage in connection with this incident.
