Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I have missed the shop life so much! I have been able to work on little projects throughout the past few years which has been a beautiful blessing working with my full time job now. I don’t have much time to work on big projects during school months unless you want to wait months to receive 😬 Thankful for friends who wait so patiently with me. 🥰 Because it’s summer time and working part time, I have decided to take on a few orders! If you are needing something from SV Woodworks, place your orders through messages or text! I have so many exciting projects coming up and I can’t wait to share them! In the meantime let’s throw it back to one of my favorite builds I made for my Sis!😍 I recently got to visit her and saw these creations. So crazy to believe I built this sign and bench almost 8 years ago and they look so good still. 🥰 I hope you all have a wonderful week and stayed tuned for what’s to come!

Happy Saturday!!! So thankful for thanksgiving break and to catch up on rest and some projects around our home. 😀 Here to show y’all another set of co****le boards of a special order my brother asked me to do for him. These are again hand painted by yours truly 🥰 My prints I ordered were a mess😩 so paint to the rescue once again. 🙌 So glad God gave me the strength to paint these. 🙏. That navy logo really tested me 😭 in the end I think they came out amazing! 😍 Also, this was my first co****le set I delivered and boy was that a challenge to wrap up 😬 But glad they made it safely to their destination 🙌 Hope y’all enjoy your thanksgiving break!! 🤗

Happy Fall Y’all!!! So thankful to be on fall break and catch up on all the house things and rest! Today I spent the day in my garage organizing and cleaning it all out. It felt so good to take out the last of my tools out of their boxes and organize it all. 🥰 i still have to make a few more cabinets and workbenches but we got to work on a really cool lumber cart that I’ve been wanting for years now!! And I forgot to take video and pics 🤦🏻‍♀️ My wood is nicely organized and I can see what I have to get started on the rest of my projects! It felt so good to build something and now that I can finally see all my tools and have a space it’s more motivating to get moving! 😂 I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week. Here’s a couple of couple of home signs I made for my neighbors before I left NC. 😍 They are some of my favorites!!! Have a blessed week!!😊

When you get to make something you saved on your Pinterest for someone else 😍😍 this was such a fun one to make. Thankful for my awesome neighbors back on Steel who allowed me to make the best projects for them. ❤️❤️❤️

I wasn’t a big fan of cherry wood till I got to make some recipe holders 😍 It was such a fun wood to work with and I loved the way these turned out. 🙌 Carved on my , filled with epoxy, and finished off with my favorite 🥰🥰🥰

I love making co****le boards! I have so many fun ones to show y’all! But these😍 These were such a challenge but also so rewarding. I didn’t plan to paint them (Yup, they are hand painted) but my prints that I had originally gotten for them were not what I envisioned so.. paint to the rescue! I believe this was the last set I made before we left North Carolina. I’m thankful to have made these for an awesome neighbor who surprised her hubby with them. 🥰

I miss it. ❤️ Miss being in the shop and building the last couple of weeks. For the past two years I’ve done little projects here and there with my newest toy and it’s been amazing. I’ll share some cool things I’ve done throughout the year one day.
In the new year we purchased a fixer upper. Little did we know how much renovating we would have to do in the first couple of months. It was heart wrecking and exhausting. It has taken all the motivation out of me to even want to finish. I always wanted a fixer upper but I underestimated how much work it would be. It can suck the life out of you. We still have a lot of work to be done. We tell ourselves it will be finished one day. These last couple of weeks I’ve been desiring to get back into my shop and start to do all the custom projects I’ve wanted to do for our new home. I’m hoping this next month I can start some really cool things I’ve been dreaming up. And soon I can share all the before and after pics. I know it’s been a while but hopefully I can get back into sharing some of my projects with you all. Here is a project I worked on last year while the hubby was away and I needed to keep extra busy. Remember that bed he made me 7 years ago? The project that sparked what made SV woodworks 🥰 Our first bed together that I designed and he made it happen. I broke it apart and made a new one. 😬 I fell in love with this upholstered bed and decided it give it a try. Took me a while to finish it but I made it just in time for the hubby to come home to a new bed. 🥰 Now to build up the rest of the pieces I have for this space soon.. 🙃 I hope you enjoy these before and after pics! Hey y’all! As some of you know my workshop will be closing by the end of the week. 😢 I will reopen shop once we settle down in our new home in November! I have been wrestling with the fact that we are moving away from a place I truly fell in love with. 😭The community here is amazing and I grown so much as a maker. Y’all have really made me step outside my box and I’m so grateful to you all for encouraging me and supporting our small business. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!! 🤗🤗🤗 I know I don’t always post but for a mom who homeschools her 3 children and trying to tackle this business I’m creating it’s been a challenging balance. I’m still learning and growing and hopefully one day I can get it together. 😂 All of you have been so so patient with me in the waiting for your pieces and I can’t think you enough for that! I hope to share with you aalll the pieces I’ve made this year. 😭 for now, here’s a sneak peak of some cutting boards and recipe boards I’m finishing up this week😍😍 I’m going to miss my local hardwood supply guys 😩 They have been amazing to get all my hardwoods and soon I’ll be in search for a new supplier. 😞 Hardest part of leaving is having to start all over. I have a great support group and connections here and that’s truly hard to leave behind. I know this is just the end of an amazing season and I’m being reminded that the dreams I have for this shop is only the beginning. God is taking us to a new place and new season where I know I’ll grow even more and be stretched to fulfill everything His plan has for me. My heart is feeling all emotions right now and I’m forever grateful for all the work that has been done the last 3 years. Praising God for this journey. It’s because of Him, I am able. ❤️

I love when I get asked to make stuff that’s pinned on my Pinterest 😍😍 I’ve had this project pinned for a few years now and I was so excited to have been asked to make it for their RV camper stovetop. ☺️Its one of my favorite projects 😍😍I can’t wait to make one for us when we get to our new house! 🥳 Hope y’all are enjoying this Labor Day weekend!!😀

Flags that went out the last month. 🇺🇸 Made my first flag and I’m in love 😍 The walnut/ash (second flag) will always have my heart but making this red/white/blue wood burning flag was so much fun! 😍 Also.. the stars were so much easier to make and engrave as opposed to cutting out 50 individual stars and gluing them on the flag. 😭 Lots of work but a labor of Love. Second flag was a going away award for one of my hubby’s soldiers.
