Hello Everyone, The disaster in east Tenn & N Carolina is heavy on the hearts of folks here ! I am reaching out to You for donations as We are hosting a group effort to send another semi of supplies. We are collecting & loading here at our business location all day this Friday Oct 11th 9a.m. til 5 p.m. Churchman Stone & Stove

If you would like to drop off items with us now instead of coming on Friday that’s appreciated too! We are here 9-5 daily and can stay later if needed.

Coty Ashley (truck driver) & Mike Cain (his grand dad) are donating their truck and making this delivery. **Note I should say “trucks” as he is prepared to take two semi’s if we can gather enough to fill them. This will be their 2nd trip . Coty delivered the Potter’s Hope Church load last week and saw first hand the devastation! He pledged to the folks at his destination church that he’d return soon as possible with 2nd load now just one week later.
I have spoken with the associate pastor at this church in Sevierville Tn. They are lodging displaced folks and also commuting supplies in with smaller ATV’s / hiking to those in the rural areas.
Also I have a personal friend on the ground in Garren Creek (Mountain) N. Carolina community whom I am able to message for updates, needs & relief coordination efforts.
They tell us all supplies, donations will be tremendously appreciated and will be of help to get these folks thru the essential needs one day at a time for right now!
I asked for a list of items needed that are BEYOND the basics to send such as water, can foods, dry goods, baby needs, childrens needs, hygiene needs …. absolutely all of those good .
In ADDITION to those basics here are but a few of the suggestions and humble requests :
-shovels, hand tools , tarps , empty gas cans (we can’t ship any fuel, but they are running a lot of chain saws)
- live stock feed & hay (horses)
-cold weather prep , socks, under garments, long sleeve tops, sweat pants
-coats, jackets, toboggans, gloves / jersey work type gloves
-think camp cooking… aluminum cooking pans, wrap foil, small grills, charcoal, long handle lighters, paper plates, bowls, forks, spoons , paper towels, $ Tree type serving spoons, spatulas, can openers
-sleeping bags, pillows, blankets
-coffee, jar creamer, sugar
- basic first aid , Tylenol, children’s Tylenol, cold medicines
These are but a few mere suggestions, but ANYTHING, anything at all that You can think of and You want to donate We will make sure that it gets to the much needed destination!!!!
