Friends of Waterboro Community Garden Waterboro's Community Garden began as a citizen initiative in early 2012 and opened in May of 2013. It offers 24'x4' raised beds for rent.

Waterboro Community Garden Beds Available Now for 2026
There are still a couple of beds available at Waterboro Community Garden for Waterboro residents! Have you tried to garden at home but shade or deer and their friends have made it difficult? If so, you can join with other gardeners, newbies and experienced alike, and plant in full sun at WCG! A bed may be rented for a fee of $25 with an additional $10 security deposit for the first year. Gardeners plant vegetables and flowers and maintain their own bed, engage in volunteer tasks that help maintain the entire operation and have the option to assist with the Pantry Garden that supplies produce for Waterboro Community Pantry. Water, loam and compost are provided. Anyone interested can get more information by picking up a handbook and application at Waterboro Town Hall or by emailing [email protected]. Applications can also be found online at the Town of Waterboro website -- click on Boards and Committees, and then Community Garden. Click on the link for “Garden Plot Application 2026 Package.”
