Our hardwood lumber is of the highest quality and our domestic hardwood slabs are taken from large rescued storm downed trees and then carefully kiln dried in our state of the art kiln. Our handcrafted furniture showroom and live edge table and top store, The Great Spirit Furniture Company, serves the Chicago area in convenient East Dundee, Illinois. The Spiritcraft Design Group offers finely handcrafted furniture in several personally designed lines. We offer our furniture designs in Mid Century Modern, Contemporary and Prairie Style. We specialize in tables and table tops from kiln dried live edge slabs of Walnut, Cherry, Ash, Maple, Sycamore and in hardwoods such as Sapele, African Mahogany, Hickory and other species. Our hardwood furniture is guaranteed for a lifetime and will last for generations. Each piece of fine furniture is handcrafted one at a time from quality kiln dried hardwoods. Our showroom, The Great Spirit Furniture Gallery, is located in downtown East Dundee, Illinois. A few initial images of our Architectural Wood Products by Spiritcraft Furniture for a new construction residential development within Natures Gift Subdivision in Bar Harbor, Maine. We are providing many solid wood products for this stunning new construction project located on a picturesque lot jutting into Frenchman’s Bay on Mount Desert Island. Aside from our heralded tabletops, countertops and kitchen Island tops, we are providing high quality soffit cladding, interior & exterior wall cladding, Ipe wood decking, massive solid Sapele Mahogany column wraps, trim, sills, thick stair treads, stringers, rails and more. The installation of various products is being provided by Ray Day Builders of Hancock, ME in conjunction with Landmark America and Vanga Construction Management, both based in Bar Harbor.

Our Sapele Mahogany products include the soffit cladding, open stair system, wall cladding, beam wraps, kitchen countertops and island top are currently being installed at the site within the apartment space over the residences garage. Other exterior and main house interior products will be installed over the span of construction with images and updates to come.

This project is ongoing with delivery and installation of various wood products over the coming months. We have included a few initial images of the soffit cladding and stair treads. The total actual square footage of just the soffit cladding is 4,500 SqFt. It is comprised of 5.25” and 7.25” widths by .75” thick tongue and groove boards finished all sides with a 15 sheen UV 2k acrylic poly.

The custom 2.75” thick stair treads and stringers are using custom steel powder-coated brackets that provide for distinct eye appeal. Stay tuned, images of the final stair system, apartment interior and 181” x 44” x 2.25” thick kitchen island top will be available soon, upon the that phase of construction completion.
