We were thrilled to donate this custom 10' conference table for No Woman No Girl's new location this week.

This one started like most other projects, but quickly became much more than that as we learned more about the organization we'd be donating the table to.

No Woman No Girl is a Raleigh-based non-profit who works tirelessly towards their vision of no woman and no girl experiencing crisis or transition going without access to everyday essentials in Wake County, NC.

We have the utmost respect for this organization and the service they lead and inspire.

An absolute beast of a personalized cutting board that our customer gifted for Father’s Day today. 30” x 20” x 2” end grain in solid walnut with a juice groove, routed handles, AND, a hand-burned personalization by our favorite calligrapher . Really enjoyed collabing with Rachel on this one! This board will make an awesome smoking companion for years to come. As always, finished with cutting board oil and wax.

Excited to share that this walnut river coffee table is available on our website!

This coffee table was born from the vision of one of my best friends and built in collaboration with him over the course of numerous visits.

The two walnut pieces which form the top were salvaged from a wasted fate by a local company, , who processed the fallen tree, dried it, and surfaced it smooth.

From this gorgeous walnut slab, we cut it down the middle, turned the live edges inward, and filled the center with a black epoxy river. We then spent hours sanding, shaping, and refining the final tabletop to a beautiful, smooth finish. Finally, after applying the finish, we attached the black powder coated steel legs, which play beautifully against the dark chocolate walnut and the black epoxy river.

We had a blast crafting this coffee table and look forward to seeing where it’ll find its new home!

Excited to share the storage cabinet settled in its new home. This was a big project with a lot of curveballs so it feels awesome to get it wrapped up!

Solid yellow pine forms the frame of the cabinet with dowel joinery for the side pieces and blind stop dados for the vertical partitions and the shelf. The drawers and cabinet doors have soft close slides and hinges which let the cabinet pieces glide back into place to show off the continuous grain fronts between uses. Moving to the shelves, these three were resawn from a single slab after being salvaged and processed by . Some industrial piping forms the skeleton of the shelves and accents the pine throughout. All finished with furniture finish and furniture butter.

Overall, I learned a ton from this build and have a lot to reflect on going forward, both in what worked well here and where I need to grow and improve. Planning to share that with you guys soon.
