This 100+ year old ice box was a major restoration project. It had been blackened by a house fire, endured countless moves, power drill experiments from children, etc. . . Complete restoration required complete stripping, sanding, structural repairs, cleaning and polishing of all of the original brass hardware, repair and matching of holes, a completely new oak interior, special order replacement of the beveled mirror, cleaning and replacement of glass. New matching oak trim was made for the lower front and the glass trim. It was finished in Weathered Oak Stain and hand rubbed Tung Oil. Our client was thrilled with the results, and it looks amazing in their home. This was a family heirloom that had been in storage for years and can now rejoin family life.
