Live Music, Beer, Wine, Local Food Vendors, Craft Vendors Kids Playground, and
The Kings Nuts 8 Flavors of Sweet and Spicy Nuts and 5 Flavors of Brewed on Site Iced Tea.

Chain Gang Metal Works will have on display and for sale, our hand-forged Railroad Spike bottle openers, our Vintage Bed Spring Wine Racks, and our Antique Kerosene Can Lamps.

Admission is Free so come out and enjoy the weekend with us.

Great video on repurposing an old set of farrier nippers into a new pair of railroad spike tongs. For everyone who has priced a new pair of RR spike tongs, this is an option as these can be purchased at a lot of local flea markets for around $10.00 a pair. Railroad spike knives and projects are good beginner smith projects because the spikes can be had for next to nothing. This is very different than buying new steel for a project as many of you know or will find out. Good luck and happy smithing.

Awesome day today.

I had the opportunity to travel to the Pasco County fair and meet with YouTube's Trenton Tye from Purgatory Iron Works.
He was hired as the demonstrator blacksmith to provide an insight for all those interested in the blacksmithing arts.
He is a genuine nice guy with an amazing amount of talent and skill, putting on a great 30-minute show and making it look oh so easy. We were able to catch him at the conclusion of the show and spent about 40 minutes just chatting about his background and smithing in general.
He is as funny and entertaining in real life as he is on his YouTube channel and I heartily recommend you take a minute and check him out. The videos provide a wealth of information and tips for beginning smiths.
