The Plyman

The Plyman Light and durable furniture created by parents who happen to be child care experts.

Having children of their own has taught parents how important it is to have furniture that not only looks good, but that is also incredibly durable and safe.

We all know that kids are messy, but you don't want to have to scrub your furniture every time they use it.

The Plyman is the solution. Our furniture is made of laminated plywood instead of painted like other brands. This means our chairs and tables can be wiped clean with a sponge and mild detergent, so there's no need for harsh chemicals or special cleaners!

Sensory games help children develop motor skills, think independently and solve problems, and develop the senses - sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch.

🤍 Sensory experiences also support cognitive development.Sensory play for toddlers helps develop neural connections in the brain, which is beneficial at any age because the brain is constantly developing. New experiences create connections that improve a child's ability to perform more complex learning tasks.

Children learn about the world through feeling, experience, feeling, communication, imagination, art, observation, research, and most importantly, through PLAY. The world around us stimulates the body and mind, and nature is the child's first teacher.

Imagine, a child is bent over water, be it a pond, a stream or even a puddle, and he sees his reflection there, tries to touch it - he dips his hand into the water - the water is cold, and suddenly his hand is bigger under the water! Then he tries to put it even deeper and fumbles for a pebble, slippery, cold, he throws it back into the water, making a splash. Can you imagine how many processes have happened and what experience the child has had in such seemingly simple actions?

Making a garage out of a table and a house for dolls out of a chair, a child has to plan his actions, show dexterity, solve arising problems, for him it is like repairing a door in a garage for an adult, only for a child it is the process itself that matters, not the end result.

What are the three main things to keep in mind every day:

1. TIME

YES, now all the processes take much longer. Of course, it is always easier to hastily feed, dress, take the baby somewhere in the stroller - "walk" the child on business, etc., but TIME is a long-term investment in that same hot coffee with pleasure in the child's wakefulness (not sleep) in the future.

2. STEP UP.

Stay out of the way and sometimes just leave him alone. Observe him, pay attention to what skill he is trying to work on at that moment. There are so many processes going on around your child that he can't control and express his will. Think about how much you enjoy being constantly distracted from something you are concentrating on?

3. START NOW.

Children are capable of many things if given the opportunity. Trust them to carry a cup of tea from the kitchen to the room, trust them to pick out a toy for a walk. And then you will grow up to be an independent person.

We always point out that The Plyman's line is inspired by northern European design - Scandi and Nordic design.

In addition to the visual component itself, following the example of the creators of object design as such, in the first place we put - functionality.

1. Material - necessarily durable, not mass-market "disposable". So that a children's tower after 3 years of use should not be discarded, as MDF, and could be proudly handed over to my nephews and then my grandchildren. Laminated plywood allows this.

2. Assembly process - in easy 3 steps without additional tools and calling "assembler furniture".

3. Packaging - then compact and created from recyclable materials. Using a small box, we not only save the cardboard and provide a low enough delivery price for the client, but also save space in the UPS truck, and thus minimize the consumption of gasoline, oil and finally reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

And if the design itself - first of all, convenient, not just pleasing to the eye or trendy. Comfortable for each specific task the little man wants to solve:
Sit down to put his shoes on before going out, stand on the step or put his favorite toy on the stool before going to bed.

Today almost all parents know about Maria Montessori's method of early development: some take their child to a Montessori kindergarten, some to special developmental classes with special materials. But what about the children's room?

One of Maria's founding principles was to create a developmental environment for the child. A safe, comfortable and friendly environment encourages to play in their own scenario, to find creative uses for the familiar objects around, and not to call the parent for help - that is, it develops independence, freedom and ingenuity :)

We are parents ourselves and we sincerely support the idea of safe and autonomous learning of the world, so we decided to create multifunctional children's furniture which would stimulate children's imagination: firstly your child sits on the chair, then he/she easily turns it into a table and then starts to build a rocket or use it as a shelf for books.

Also, the ergonomics of our Montessori furniture is always designed for a little person, so even a one-year old baby can sit on the chair without parental help, as in the photo, without fear of tipping over. In a child's room there is no place for things that can hurt, get caught and fall, slip - do you agree?

When we make a home that is "kid-friendly," we free the baby from the fear of failure, of making a mistake, of fear of breaking something and give them the freedom to experiment, to create something new. We give them the opportunity to learn from our own experiences. Each new attempt for your little one is a contribution to his or her future: intelligence and self-confidence. ❤

A laconic "round" set for preschoolers 2-8 years old.

Suitable for creative experiments in drawing, sculpting, making applique, puzzle making. Alone or two 🌿

We wanted to create a compact area that can be put in both the nursery and living room. And while the kids are in the garden, you can turn the table into a "coffee table" 🤫

Children's table should be placed near a good light source, and weekends should be spent outdoors! 😜🌿

Board games 😎have a favorite? Our personal recommendation, if you're not already familiar with it...Jenga! It's a board game invented by game designer Leslie Scott in the mid-1970s. Now it's popular all over the world, because Jenga is "all ages" 😎😉 Players sit at a table, any, even Kiddy's kids' table will suffice. They take turns taking the blocks out of the base of the tower and putting them on top, making the tower taller and less and less stable (+ you can't move the top three rows). Simple rules, if not primitive, but incredibly addictive and sometimes challenging. Until you sit down at the table you won't know that Jenga's compact wooden blocks can keep even an adult occupied for hours! Kids 3-4-5 years old should play with a simple scheme, but the adults can complicate the process: - The sides of the blocks can be marked with numbers from first to tenth or from first to twelfth. Now it is enough to take the dice and throw them in front of your turn. Whichever number rolls out, that number is used to remove the piece from the tower. No bars available with the right number? Sadly, you'll have to skip your turn. - Game of Jenga with Fanta. Write different tasks on pieces of paper, such as "Close Your Eyes" or "Tell a Poem". The player, who has to take the bar out of the tower, draws the coin, and in the course of his turn performs the task. - It is also possible to discuss in the company of additional options for complication, such as every move to alternate right and left hand to extract the bars, and so on, whatever your imagination prompts you. Interesting fact: The word jenga is the imperative of the verb kujenga, which means "to build" in Swahili. It's a Tanzanian language that was also spoken in Leslie's family. Who wouldn't mind playing Jenga, too?)
