An interior designer from the DC area reached out last summer to build them a custom chest based on a previous chest I had built. Here is the finished piece. I'm happy to report it has safely arrived in Virginia (and ahead of the storm!).

Tonight students put their spokeshaves to work, fairing the table top, then creating an edge profile.

Next week we start working on battens.

Week 1 -- It's time to build some cricket tables! We started off by fairing the table's edge and shaping an edge profile. I think this was everyone's first time using a spokeshave!

I'm excited to be back at it with a new batch of eager woodworkers, some new, some familiar.

Let's build a knockdown workbench. After getting six 2"x12"x16' boards home, I spent a couple hours breaking down stock. Then I stickered it to acclimate. I'll pick it up again in a couple weeks once the wood's reached equilibrium.
