Craftsman in the making
Our passion is bringing old world craftsmanship to a fast paced world. Being able to produce fine wood working pieces that tell a story from the past for generations to come. Repurposing an old family heirloom or being able to re-tell of a 100 year old church pew that was given a new lease on life as an entry piece into a new family home. This is our passion. This is our chapter in your story.
Our master craftsman, Norm Elliott, grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains spending much of his time being taught early by his Grandfather John and Uncle Burt the art of carpentry and the importance of the details. From the dovetails to biscuit joints, Norm demanded perfection of himself. After decades of honing his craft, he adopted this simple philosophy that his product would be better made for his clients than for himself.
And with this in mind, Hummingbird Fine Woodworking was born.
