A couple hours in the shop! Most organization and putting stuff away... but I finally took about 30 seconds to get this cabinet scraper tuned up, and then took about 30 more seconds to peel off the finish from this random sapele board I have. (Sample board from a previous build.
It serves no purpose, but it sure did make some nice wispy shavings! 😁

PSA: be sure to anchor your furniture anti-tip hardware to a stud for better strength! #

I was *this close* to setting up my table saw in its “forever home” in my shop... but then I realized that was a terrible idea.
My dust collector runs on 220, and I don’t presently have that flavor of power anywhere in the garage... and the weather is nice outside, so out in the driveway I went.
On a related note, walnut dust has an absolutely wonderful smell to it. 😁😁

What’s wrong with this picture...?
It’s been awhile since I’ve changed my table saw blade (or used my table saw at all, even). After loosening the arbor nut, it took me a solid 45 seconds to realize that it would be much easier to remove the nut if I raised the blade all the way. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
But hey, at least I remembered to unplug the saw!

It’s a mess... but it’s a well-lit mess, now!
Got half the LED Lights installed on the ceiling. Relatively inexpensive Amazon lights. Nothing fancy, but they get the job done pretty well.

Finally got this thing off the floor of the new shop! Only one problem...woodworking put some nice convenient holes spaced 16” apart... but the ceiling joists are 24” apart. 🤦‍♂️
Solution: drill your own holes! The angled sections there start 22.5” apart, so putting the screws in at a slight angle gets them right where they need to be. 👍

Sorry - right colors wrong team! How do you show your team spirit in the shop?
I’ve got one corner of my shop all decked out in my Giants blue & red scheme. Now I just need the Giants to not suck at football. Maybe next year... 🤷‍♂️
