From One, Came Two! ✨. Introducing "The Deco Duo"

I am so excited to reveal this transformation, even if we missed the "official" before photo!

I’m calling this set "Deco Duo." They started as a single, tired 1930s Art Deco vanity, but things moved a little faster than planned. My husband, Jack, got so excited to get started that he had the vanity cut in half before I could even grab my camera for the "before" shot! 😂

Even without the "starting" photo, the finish is what matters! We took that original piece and created two perfectly balanced bedside nightstands, preserving those gorgeous Art Deco curves and character.

Introducing Grace 👑

We transformed this vintage chest of drawers by Dixie Furniture into the ultimate nursery centerpiece for a sweet little one or your pretty princess's bedroom. She’s gone from an aged beauty to a perfect princess with a smooth, dusty pink finish and original brass hardware polished to a bright, royal shine.

But as they say, the beauty is in the details! 🕊️

Inside: A lovely botanical floral paper lining that makes opening every drawer a surprise.

Sides: A delicate, hand-stenciled pink vine/floral pattern on the exposed drawer sides for that extra touch of elegance.

"Grace" is all finished and officially ready for her new home! 🏰✨

This transformation is extra special! This dresser and nightstand set was once owned by my Aunt Betty!

Aunt Betty was a true pioneer—she was a passionate DIYer long before upcycling became cool. It’s hard not to think that some of my own creative inspiration came from watching her work growing up.

She was what you’d call a "Betty"—stylish, vibrant, and always ahead of the curve. So, in her honor, I’m naming this beautifully revived, boho-inspired Spanish Colonial bedroom set "The Betty Set."

I am so excited to share this latest transformation! This beautiful Henry Link wicker desk and chair set holds a special place in my heart—it was gifted to me by Uncle Fred and Aunt Pauline.

When I first got it, it had that classic vintage wicker look, but I wanted to give it a "modern-boho" soul that fits perfectly into today’s homes.
This set is now ready for its next chapter.

✨ Before & After Spotlight: Meet JOAN! ✨

My obsession with Mid-Century Modern furniture & decor started with a little show called Mad Men. Every single piece on the sets were a feast for the eyes, and Joan Holloway's impeccable style inspired me. So, when I found this particular chest, I knew exactly what to name her!
Joan arrived in good shape, but she was definitely ready for a modern glow-up. We wanted to keep her classic MCM lines but give her a fresh, sophisticated vibe. That meant a luxurious, deep navy paint finish paired with stunning original hardware (her jewelry!) that perfectly complements her original tapered legs.

Which finish do you like best?
#1 is stained in dark walnut.
#2 is painted in Midnight Blue.
#3 is painted in Envy Green.

I have forgotten to take before photos of my last few pieces. I just get so excited to "dig in" and see what they have in store for me. This is a truly vintage mid-century bar/tea &coffee cart. It didn't need much love because it was already super cute! Thanks go out to my sister, Marsha for picking it for me! I’m calling it "The Draper" after one of my favorite TV shows, Madmen. If ya know, ya know, lol. Let me know what you think!

People always ask where I get the furniture pieces that I upcycle and sell. Well, that could be a whole conversation! I shop at thirft stores, facebook marketplace, Esate sales and garage sales. Some I get for free like this little gem. People in the neighborhood were moving and had lots of things that they did want want to take with them.
