Shumake Furniture Company Our Story Shumake Furniture began in 1937 as a dream of J.L. Shumake and Eason Shumake, Father and Son. Doug and Kristen Shumake represent the fourth generation.

In 1961 Eason and Jerry Shumake, Father and Son, moved the business to its current location on Highway 31 and is now 30,000 square foot. With five grandkids we look forward to the 5th generation coming on board. The Shumake family is active in their church and community.
