I recently finished this sweet addition for my dining room! I had been on the lookout for a high chair for my first grandchild who is due in June. I found this cute, vintage Jenny Lind at my local thrift store for $29. It was in great condition and decided to finish it to match my dining room table. I used Dixie Belle Sandbar as a base coat and a custom blend of Dixie Belle Gel Stain in To***co Road, Au Naturel and Up in Smoke. I finished it with Dixie Belle’s Gator Hide top coat. It has been Peach Cat tested and approved!

I’m excited to share this custom dresser/changing table that I’ve been working on for my granddaughter-to-be! It was a well-used Basset that I found on Marketplace for $30. I got to use a fun color, ”Winchester” by Fusion Mineral. I also decided to refresh a little rocking chair that my parents gave to me when I was expecting my first baby. It’s been in storage for 20 years and I’m happy that it will be used again. My daughter stenciled the acorns because the baby’s nickname is acorn. 😍 This is a Peach Cat approved project!

This little nightstand has been sitting in my garage for months. I got it for free. I always forget to take a before picture so you got one after I had removed the hardware and started repairs. I had the first coat of paint on before I realized that,except for the color, it was an exact match to a nightstand I have in my guest room! I painted the hardware on both and now I have a matching set. I needed a new home for my record player anyway!

I needed a couple of small projects to tackle after the 2 month dining room furniture project. I picked up this little end table for $4 at a yard sale months ago. It caught my eye because it’s unique but then sat around because I don’t know if unique will sell! I pulled it out planning to donate it but it caught my eye again and I decided to give it a little love! Repaired, cleaned and polished. I spent an hour on it and I have it listed on Marketplace for $25. I think it could look cool in a man cave. I’ll let you know…

I finally finished the Thomasville dining room table and chairs that I found for FREE on Marketplace! The previous owner had done a lot of prep work on the table but decided not to finish. She even gifted all of the upholstery fabric she purchased. I spent about $120 on this project. My biggest expense was the $80 I spent on a Uhaul to pick it up. The rest of the money was spent on paint and stain. I used Dixie Belle Deep Sea Silk on the chairs and the table has a base coat of Dixie Belle Sandbar topped with a custom combo of Dixie Belle Voodoo Gel stain in Au Naturel, To***co Road and Up in Smoke. I buy all of my paint locally at Fancy Flea!

Just after Thanksgiving, I found this gorgeous Thomasville dining room furniture listed for free on Marketplace. The previous owner had started refinishing it but gave up. She was the kindest person but she said it “sucked out part of my soul”! I’m starting to see why! 😂 I always have a plan B when I take on a furniture project. I just completed work on this secretary desk from 1910. I bought it on Marketplace. It was in rough shape. It had lacquer that was not original and it was peeling. The bones of this piece are amazing! I had to paint a lot of it but I restored my favorite parts, the brass hardware, the cubbies and the claw feet. I decided it would work well with a violin back chair that I bought at a thrift store for $7. I painted that to match and re-upholstered the seat cushion. I decided to do some work on this coffee table. I did a wood look on top and a dark grayish green for the base. It’s ready to find a new home for the holidays! I used Dixie Belle paint in Burlap and Rustoleum glaze in Java Brown on the top and Dixie Belle paint in Collard Greens on the base and added new brass hardware.

My son and his girlfriend bought this Queen Anne style channel back chair at Goodwill for $13. They asked me what I could do with it. It never ceases to amaze me what cleaning, a few touch ups and some furniture wax can do! I love this chair!
