Hello friends,
As a fellow small, locally owned business, we deeply value the talent, creativity, and heart that our local artisans, bakers, crafters, and vendors bring to our community.
As many of you know, in the past we have hosted a Small Business Saturday event in our parking lot to give local makers a place to showcase and sell their work. We truly LOVE providing this space and bringing small businesses together. However, despite significant effort and expense on our part — including cable TV advertising, an on-site radio broadcast, daily vendor spotlights, extensive Facebook promotion, and even providing bounce houses for added visibility — we have struggled to generate the level of community turnout and support that you incredible vendors deserve.
To be completely honest, we feel discouraged, and we imagine some of you may feel the same. That said, we care deeply about our local small business community and are willing to give this event one more try — but only if there is strong vendor interest and fresh ideas to help make it successful.
At this stage, we are simply reaching out to gauge interest. If enough vendors are willing to participate, we will select a date and move forward with planning.
We would also truly appreciate any suggestions you may have — whether related to timing, activities, promotion, layout, partnerships, or anything else that could help draw stronger community engagement. Your insight is incredibly valuable, and we want this to benefit everyone involved.
If you are interested in setting up, please reply to this post or send us a message and let us know. We don't charge any fee for set up, just ask that you provide your own table to display your items. We have PLENTY of space, sidewalk and a huge vacant parking lot area for tents, food trucks, etc. You are also welcome to share any ideas or feedback, even if you are unsure about participating this time.
