A Boss Design Case Study:
Over the last two decades, Everyman Cinemas has been elevating the quality of the British cinema-going experience. Alongside gastro food, indulgent cocktails and beautiful, retro-inspired settings, generous, luxury seating supplied by the Boss Design Lyndon brand is part of the Everyman experience.
Their relationship with Everyman began in 2004 when the company refurbished its Hampstead cinema with bespoke
armchairs designed and built by Lyndon. In 2014, Everyman called on Lyndon again – this time to devise a new, Art Deco-inspired seating concept executed in a wide variety of fabrics.
At each cinema, some screens have seating covered in Everyman’s signature red velvet, but at least one of the theatres will feature completely unexpected colours and patterns, giving the location an individual aesthetic so that every cinema in the chain reflects a unique, local character.
From concept through to completion, Lyndon’s team collaborates with the designers, architects and on-site tradespeople to install seating perfectly suited to the space and finished to the highest standard. Lyndon has created bespoke armchair, two- and three-seat sofa designs specifically for Everyman Cinemas, with a look inspired by a mid-century modern style plus a hint of homely comfort.
