Welcome to the Original Charleston Bedswing, where lasting memories are made one bedswing at a time! Thus, the Bedswing was born.

The Original Charleston Bedswing was created 30 years ago by Barbara and Preston Stone. Seeking some much needed relaxation from their day jobs, they desired down time spent in comfort while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Charleston, SC. Preston designed and built the first Bedswing in his shop (also known as the garage!), and over the years, the design evolved alongside Barbara and Presto

n's life stages. They began with late nights as talking newlyweds and progressed to rocking their babies to sleep, heart to heart talks with their teenagers and then back to the two of them as empty-nesters. From Barbara and Preston: "The Bedswing has always been the place of choice for family and friends. Once people took a seat, they had to have one! Preston starting building more swings, and we began selling. Although proud to be a "mom and pop" operation, we realize that with a superior product comes much growth. Therefore, it was a natural transition to the next level. We met Kealy Benton, a Charleston interior designer, who instantly fell in love with our product and wanted to be involved. Due to this collaborative relationship, we have gained increasing interest both nationally and internationally. Our participation in various trade markets, Southern Living Home shows and magazine publications have contributed to establishing our perfect niche. We thank our customers for their continued support over the years and are proud to stand behind the Original Charleston Bedswing name."
