Today was really good! You guys brought in SO MANY donations and found yourself lots of new clothing. I tried something new and hung up some outfits for the boys and by the end of the day everything was gone!

We just got in a whole bunch of youth girl clothing, plus size dresses and tops, and a whole lot of spring shoes.

I’m hoping to open for a bonus day before the month is over, but I can’t make any promises yet. Stay tuned for that announcement.

Here is a flyer with a QR code that will take you right to the page. Feel free to share the flyer via social media, or even save and print it! One way you can help to spread the word about free clothing at Crystal’s is to hang up a flyer on the bulletin board at one of your fav local places!

This weekend is the third Sunday of the month and you know what that means, Crystals Closet will be open for free shopping.

Crystals Closet is a free clothing store and we are located in Cushing Wisconsin on the second floor of the Cushing Community Center. We have a separate entrance in the community center on the second floor, Google Maps will take you to the top of our driveway and the building is located at the bottom of the hill. If you look at the videos on the pictures on our Google Maps location, you’ll see pictures of what the top of the driveway looks like so you know where to go.

For those of you that are new here and as a reminder to our regular shoppers, we do not take donations of anything besides clothing. This means we do not take baby toys, household goods, books, DVDs, and we do not accept baby clothing.

if you would like to support us with your donations, we take clothing for women, men and youth size 6x and up. We take tops, bottoms, swimsuits, shoes, purses, and bags, jewelry and accessories, hats, scarves, and socks or underwear that is new and still in the packaging.

Donations should be:

-seasonally appropriate
-clean and without damage (no stains, odors, pet hair, or holes)
-packed into standard household trash bag bags. Please avoid using boxes or overfilling large contractor bags.
-dropped off only when Crystals Closet is open. Please do not leave clothing during off hours).

Heads up, we will be closed the first Sunday in June, it’s grad season y’all.

🌟 May is , and we are partnering with The Mental Health Task Force of Polk County, Wisconsin to display their Back of the Door Campaign posters and offer their printed Guide to Mental Health in Polk County.

The info includes crisis contacts, the 988 Lifeline, and a QR code that connects directly to local resources to help find support when you need it.

If you’d like to participate in the Back of the Door Campaign, there’s no cost and they provide everything you need and make it easy to get started.

Thanks to Lisa from The Mental Health Task Force for offering these resources and hand delivering them to us!

Thanks for a super good day! So many generous folks brought in bags and bags of donation so I’ve got a lot of new items out there for you. We even got some hangers, yaaaay!

We are open again the first Sunday in May. That’s May 3rd from 12-3pm. Pass it on!

Free shopping for everyone from 12-3 pm. We do take donations whenever we are open as long as they are clean and without damage/odor/holes. We are currently accepting clothing for spring/summer.

Crystal’s Closet next free shopping event is on Sunday April 19th from 12-3pm.

We are looking for more hangers like the ones pictured, particularly the pants style hangers. Have some in your basement? Know someone that does? Let’s connect!

One of my own personal goals that I bring to Crystal's Closet Cushing is to operate things as free as possible. Life is expensive, clothing costs are burdensome and we all know there is plenty to go around! Because Crystal’s is not a business, non-profit, or associated/sponsored/affiliated with by an organization, I do not accept monetary donations. I also think it’s a fun challenge to see what we can do and how we can help one another out without spending money.

If you feel compelled to make a donation, I’d love for you to make it to the Cushing Community Center. Without their generosity we would not be able to exist. Thank you!
