I bought this milk glass sugar bowl thinking I could clean off the black marks but when they wouldn’t come off, I decided to paint it. I recently started using gold Rub n Buff and I just love it! The paint and gold gave it a whole new life!

I forgot to take a before picture dang it! 🤦‍♀️ I’ve been sitting on this piece since last Spring because I didn’t want to put the work into restoring the flaking finish. Do to the low inventory of furniture out there for sale at a reasonable price, I decided to finally tackle this one and I just love how it turned out! After sanding the top, I put a paint wash of Dixie Bell Truffle on the bare wood , which toned down the orange of the maple. The rest of the body is painted Truffle.  This will be placed in my booth at Antiques on Main for sale for $200.00.
