Well after snowmageddon, ice-orama, a 70’ tree falling on my house, an ER trip to remove a splinter Dianne and Mike got to see the final product today. I was super happy to donate this for our community center fund raiser and hats off for their bid to win this beauty

What I like about the curing process is the pattern evolution as it cures. Not too much you can do about the pattern after a certain point. I added another pic from this morning So it’s been curing about 20 hours and is no longer running. Consistency of jello.

Continued working on the table. Today’s task was the base. It’s all sanded (easier to sand before assembly), joined via domino mortise & tenon joints and clamped. Takes a bit to get glue on every surface

There will be a 1 1/2” thick shelf on the bottom rail/style set.

The table is formed up and ready for epoxy.  Each slab bottom has been taped to prevent leaks.    Caulk lines the river ...

The table is formed up and ready for epoxy. Each slab bottom has been taped to prevent leaks. Caulk lines the river to prevent epoxy leakage out the sides. Caulk damns around each inclusion on top help focus epoxy in the right spot and ultimately saves epoxy. Each end gets sealed and the whole table gets clamped down.

I’ll need approximately 16 liters in the river and another 3-4 liters in the slab themselves. Video of the pour to be provided.
