I have been interested in old barns and structures for many years and have been salvaging from them for the past 4-5 years. I am amazed with the history of these structures and I love to imagine the people that built them and how those times used to be. I realized how much I love the style of furniture and home decor that can be created from this salvaged wood, so I began to take the pieces I coll

ect and turn them into unique works of furniture and art. I love to share these pieces with others and help preserve a part of American history that is really the fabric of Appalachia and the Shenandoah Valley.

A massive red oak, straight off of the property, that has started the journey to become gorgeous farm tables to add to their amazing wedding venue! Some beautiful cedar awaiting it’s metamorphosis from tree to custom bed swing! One is sold, but one will be available to purchase. A little custom tiny home action today with my buddy’s and of course, some Amish tater salad. This beautiful porch and setting are perfect for these benches and table, that are 💯 crafted from 140 yr old heart pine floor joists I salvaged from a late 1800’s church in Grottoes, Va! I find working with the older wood is more of a challenge…but clearly worth the effort!

Thanks to for choosing me and my buds to build this #1 of 2, one of kind and first of its kind in Augusta County, River access kiosks. It was a blast. The access site is sweet and the river is ready to float! 🛶
Local cedar was used for the posts, cross members and 45’s.

I couldn’t be more proud of my wife .co for reaching for the stars and grabbing them!! She was told by people she didn’t have any formal training or schooling and that she was just playing. Well, I’m glad she didn’t listen to them! She listened to her heart and followed her dreams and she is pocketing those dreams and then reaching for more!!! Special thanks to the good folks at Natural Chimneys Park/campground, Scott Farris with along with the Knicely family, and for a great cooperative effort to help me salvage some amazing walnut, ash and more. These trees either came down in storms or were deemed dangerous for campers. I will be able to utilize this urban/local wood for many projects from picture frames, cutting boards to tables, countertops, porch swings you name it! This will be beautiful wood with a fantastic story.

Excited to be collaborating with on one of their on-site, knock out ‘Tiny homes’!! Also with Urban Wood Program! The Ash pictured was salvaged from local parks in Harrisonburg and will become a custom countertop and floating shelves for the kitchen. The Ash cookies will be split in half and used as unique, decorative shelving throughout the house. More posts and pieces to come on this job! Thanks to for the kiln and the help!
