Just completed an interior project. RetroCraft Solid Oak Tread Kits with Risers, 5-1/2" Modern Routed Newel Posts, and Foundation Iron Balusters from House of Forgings. Image on the left is the actual finished project. On the right is a rendering we created for the customer prior to ordering any materials.

All set for Fall! Great project, very pleased with results. Shout out to Akin Building Center for helping source materials and Dylan Anson Handyman Services for reinstalling the electrical. And, of course to the J and the M for the extra hands when needed. (Photos provided by the homeowner.)

Almost finished up with the porch rebuild. Install the stair rails and some other finishing touches.

Framing was built to allow the deck boards to be set perpendicular to the house, as it was originally. Floor is pitched away from the house at 1” per 4’, again as original.
Steps are built level with equal riser heights. (The originals ranged from 7 to 8 inches)

After tearing off the old decking and stairs. Since the composite decking requires a maximum joist spacing of 16”, it was decided to tear out the old framing and build new.
The original framing was built as the brick columns were going up. The holes will be filled with mortar.
