David Kiernan Furniture Designs The design and creation of contemporary handcrafted pieces. He works primarily in wood, both solid and veneers, but also uses a variety of other materials.

David Kiernan has been making contemporary furniture in his Rhode Island studio since 1993. David, a former engineer, studied woodworking at the Worcester Center for Crafts. "I find it exhilarating to use materials such as unique veneers, unusual stone, or patinated metals. Envisioning how to use these materials, provokes excitement and eagerness to proceed with a project. This to me is the essenc

Just completed a pair of "Synergy" chairs for a client in Tennessee. They are going on either side of an alcove with artwork between them. The chairs are a mirror image of each other.
