Functional art, sculpture, furniture, interior design, practical items, and more..made from figured wood, primarily burl. Especially, working with tree burls.

I have learned to find very unique wood grain patterns in various species of wood. Tree burls are a rare formation on the surface of the tree, or sometimes they will grow throughout the tree itself. What make the wood so sought after is that there is no grain pattern that is normal. Sometimes, the grain will be circular, sometimes it's all over the place. The color can be quite unusual as well. ying this wood on the market is very expensive. I do not charge for actually harvesting the wood, actually I don't' even charge for all the time I put into it. It pays to see each piece come out looking like a work of art!

Progress on the shed. I learned a lot from helping the guys last year when they sided my house. Had lots of leftover cedar to do the wood shop shed.

New roof, replaced siding on East wall, and replaced damaged studs inside. This weekend working on the new siding prep. Coming along!

The next load going into the kiln soon. Highly figured red leaf maple burl wood. Future projects await!

**Caution - Under Construction**
The Natural Flaire work shed was infested with mice and ants last summer into fall. I had to remove everything inside and am now in the process of remodeling. Can’t wait to start making projects again soon!
