The Southern Kentucky Regional Job Fair will be happening at The Corbin Center on June 26th, 2025 from 10am - 2pm. If you're looking for employment we will have several employers and partners from workforce development agencies on site. Make plans to attend!

On Thursday, May 9th, the Southern Kentucky Economic Development Agency and Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Bridging the Workforce Gap” summit at The Corbin Center. There will be about 20 different partners here to talk about a new state re-entry program to get people who have been incarcerated back into the workforce. The initiative includes help with transportation, clothing, soft skills training and even housing. If you, or someone from your business would like to attend, please see the attached flyer. There will be a morning and a noon session, breakfast or lunch will be provided, just use the QR code on the flyer to register.

Due to utility construction, The Corbin Center will not be accessible by turning onto Corbin Center Drive between Speedway and Applebee's. Please use Bacon Creek Rd. to access The Corbin Center, and the Southern Kentucky Economic Development Agency office until Thursday, January 4th.

Public Service Announcement:
As part of the newly commenced road construction project on Cumberland Falls Highway (US 25), the entrance to Corbin Center Drive from Bacon Creek Road will be closed for the next few months.
To access The Corbin Center and The Arena, please turn onto Corbin Center Drive from Cumberland Falls Highway, between the Speedway and Applebee’s. Please exit the same way. There will be no through traffic access onto Bacon Creek Road from Corbin Center Drive at any time during this phase of road construction.

Today, Governor Andy Beshear announced further growth of the state’s distribution and logistics sector as Renfro Supply Co., one of the region’s largest wholesalers, will expand operations in Whitley County with a nearly $8.5 million expansion creating 25 jobs for Kentucky residents.

Beshear. “Investments from companies like Renfro Supply, which has been serving the commonwealth for 100 years, is helping us achieve that goal. This is a great day for Southeast Kentucky and the residents of Whitley County.
